Well, hello! I’m Chanel, a veteran educator with 14 years of experience in public education. I founded Acadega to support teachers and learners of all ages.

My love for teaching began when I was in my teens and served as a Daisy Girl Scout leader. That early foundation taught me the importance of planning and creating engaging curriculum for youth development. From there, I went on to teach my own junior high and high school classes while completing a master’s program in Curriculum & Instruction.

Eventually, I earned my Ph.D. and became a professor of education, where I teamed up with other expert educators to share our love of learning with veteran and future educators. I even forayed into the corporate world for a while where, you guessed it, I designed curriculum and trained employees while serving as a Chief Operating Officer.

This website houses curriculum resources I’ve created for educators, students, and my children over the years, as well as some fun merch for educators and students. I hope you enjoy it!
